CWM Automation Ltd is a UK-based company located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Established in 2006, we specialise in supplying filling, heat sealing and lidding machinery, along with fully automatic end-of-line automation solutions.

As an established and vibrant business, CWM Automation Ltd continues to experience sustainable growth while building strong foundations for the future. 20 employees in total, part of the Hexadex group, and we are now seeking to recruit a Purchasing Administrator / Progressor to join our team.

The Role

Sits within our Supply Chain function. You will be responsible for requesting quotations, raising purchase orders, and progressing orders to ensure materials are delivered on time to meet production schedules.

You will communicate at all levels within the business and with external suppliers, so a confident and professional telephone manner is essential. Accuracy, organisation, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are critical to success in this role.

Occasionally, you may be required to provide cover for the Store / Goods In Coordinator and assist with stock counts and audits.

Key Responsibilities

* Work closely with all departments in a professional, polite and efficient manner
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations for required parts/items
* Raise purchase orders in line with company purchasing guidelines and authorisations
* Progress supplier orders to ensure on-time delivery
* Check for obsolete orders and close orders on the system where required
* Assist Buyers where necessary
* Run daily reports as requested
* Provide occasional support within Stores/Goods In
* Assist with stock counts and audits when required

About You

We are looking for someone who:

* A desirable background working within a busy manufacturing environment (preferably in purchasing)
* Demonstrates strong attention to detail at every stage
* Is able to work effectively to tight deadlines
* Is computer literate (Microsoft Word, Email systems; Greentree experience desirable)
* Has a confident and professional telephone manner
* Communicates clearly and effectively, both written and verbal
* Is proactive and organised
* Demonstrates integrity and high professional standards
* Is willing to support all areas of the Supply Chain function
