Communications & Marketing Officer
Tap into Bath & North East Somerset Council’s mission to improve people’s lives, as a focal point of the Business & Skills Team’s communications and marketing strategy.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing and communications for the Business & Skills Team, supporting projects with content to help achieve targets.
* Manage online social media and newsletter accounts, increasing engagement and follower counts.
* Utilise additional marketing channels/mix to reach new audiences where necessary.
* Create logos, presentations, images and video content in support of team activities.
* Represent the team at key marketing meetings, both with the internal communications team and with external organisations such as Bath Unlimited.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Skill in creating and editing imagery and videos for marketing campaigns.
* Experience successfully managing websites, social media and newsletter accounts.
* Strong experience and competency in creating digital content, using primary and secondary materials, and a range of software packages.
* Authority and credibility to build relationships and engage successfully with colleagues, external organisations, residents and businesses.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The post holder will work autonomously and remotely, with a minimum of two days in the office or working with partners.
