Key Responsibilities:
Support the Principal Structures Engineer in managing structural assets including bridges and foot tunnels.
Deliver structural maintenance and improvement projects from feasibility to post-construction.
Prepare designs, contract documents, and estimates for structural works.
Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and load assessments.
Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies.
Monitor budgets and ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
Provide technical advice to senior officers and councillors.
Ideal Candidate:
Degree-qualified or technically certified with substantial experience in structural maintenance and municipal engineering.
Strong understanding of local government operations and relevant legislation.
Skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, and public consultation.
Confident communicator with the ability to present technical matters clearly.
Familiar with systems like LoBEG Bridge Station and electronic data processing tools
