Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 5 pupils Collaborate effectively with the other Year 5 class teachers to share planning and best practice Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where every child is challenged and encouraged Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions as needed Support the personal, social, and emotional development of pupils Maintain consistent and positive behaviour management strategies Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and wider staff teams Contribute to staff meetings, school events, and ongoing CPD Uphold and promote the school’s values and commitment to inclusive education About You Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies Experience teaching in a primary or junior setting (desirable – ECTs are welcome to apply) A team player who values collaboration within a year group and across the school Passionate about supporting children’s academic and personal development Excellent communication and classroom management skills Creative, reflective, and adaptable in your approach Well-organised with a proactive, positive attitude How to Apply Please send your CV and a short cover letter outlining your experience, enthusiasm, and interest in this Year 5 teaching opportunity.
