Heavy Plant Fitter Location: Knowsley, Merseyside Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £24.00 – £26.00 per hour (depending on experience) Overtime Rate: £32.00 per hourInteraction Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter based in Knowsley.This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing operation maintaining a range of heavy plant and wash plant machinery within a fast-paced industrial environment.Working Hours 47.5 hours per weekMonday to Friday: 07:00 – 17:00Saturdays: 07:00 – 12:00 when requiredAdditional overtime available for maintenance and emergency repairsBenefits Competitive hourly payRegular overtime opportunities28 days holiday including bank holidaysCompany pension schemePermanent, long-term opportunitySupportive working environmentThe Role The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, and reactive repairs on a variety of heavy plant machinery and wash plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation across the site.This is a hands-on role involving both workshop and outdoor work in all weather conditions.Key Responsibilities Carry out maintenance and repairs on excavators, loading shovels, crushers, screeners, and wash plant equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faultsPerform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtimeInspect and maintain aggregate wash plant systemsMonitor plant performance and maintain operational efficiencyComplete service records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation accuratelyWork closely with plant operators, supervisors, and managementMaintain high standards of health & safety at all timesEnsure workshop cleanliness and organisationAssist with stock control and ordering of spare partsCandidate Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or similar roleStrong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skillsExperience working on heavy plant machinery in an industrial environmentPrevious wash plant maintenance experience highly desirableGood understanding of health & safety proceduresBasic computer literacy for maintenance reportingReliable, motivated, and able to work independently or within a teamFlexible approach to overtime and weekend workAble to commute to the Knowsley areaApply To apply for this Heavy Plant Fitter position, please submit your CV today.INDLIVTPBN1_UKTJ
