Senior Case Administrator - Offender Management Unit

Mitie Care & Custody (C&C) is a part of Mitie, working in HMP Millsike, focusing on offender management and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of a prisoner’s case including risk management, parole applications, and sentence planning.
* Coordinate administrative support within the OMU, ensuring efficient operations alongside probation and prison colleagues.
* Maintain the Offender Assessment System (OASys), perform enhanced sentence calculations, arrange Release on Temporary Licence (RoTL), process bail applications.
* Coordinate Multi‑Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA), manage re‑categorisation and recall paperwork.
* Oversee paperwork for prisoner transfers and releases, maintain records, take minutes, and represent the OMU Manager at meetings.
* Support recruitment activities, organise accurate records, and ensure compliance with the Offender Management in Custody Model and related policies.
* Manage and develop OMU Case Administrator staff, implement business administration systems and databases.
* Perform office management tasks, ensuring GDPR compliance and record‑keeping standards.
Person Specification
* Intermediate IT skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; experience updating central data systems.
* Strong written communication skills to meet customer expectations.
* Previous administration experience and background providing a wide range of management support activities.
* Evidence of providing support and assistance to colleagues in delivering quality service.
