As a Risk, Controls and Assurance Analyst, you will develop and execute 2nd Line Assurance activities across NGV, supporting risk management and assurance aligned with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and relevant frameworks.
You should have proven experience in risk and assurance activities within a risk management capacity, with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs and customer satisfaction. This role is based in Warwick with a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute the annual 2nd Line controls testing plan, lead stakeholder walkthroughs, document processes, and conduct controls testing following best practices and the Group CRO methodology.
2. Deliver assurance plans on time, ensuring quality and ethical standards, and provide insightful recommendations for process improvements.
3. Advise 1st line risk and control owners on risk management and the ERM framework, assisting with Control Self-Assessment processes and updates in the GRC Archer system.
4. Support and coach risk owners and champions to enhance their understanding of risk and controls.
About You
* Experience in risk management, audit, assurance, or related fields, including involvement with ERM projects or teams.
* Knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks and their practical application.
* Experience with control self-assessment and assurance activities, including control design and testing.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
* Professional qualifications in risk management, finance, or audit (e.g., ERMCP, CRM, CRMP, ACA, ACCA, etc.).
* Knowledge of standards like NIST, ISO, HSE, and Process Safety legislation is desirable.
