About the role

This is a brand-new role at PA Media Group - a unique opportunity to shape and build a Commercial Enablement function from the ground up.

We recognise that for our commercial teams to succeed, they must be able to focus their time externally with clients. That's why we are creating this role: to give our sales and customer success teams the tools, insights, materials, and processes they need to thrive.

As Head of Commercial Enablement, you will design and deliver a clear enablement strategy that enhances efficiency, strengthens execution, and maximises growth across the commercial lifecycle.

This is a highly visible and influential role where you will partner with senior stakeholders, manage upwards, and build trust across the organisation - ensuring that the value of commercial enablement is clearly demonstrated and embedded.

We need someone confident, credible, and collaborative: a professional who can engage at all levels, balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, and help the business see and feel the advantages of this new function.


Main objectives


Sales Enablement Strategy & Execution

* Lead the design and implementation of a commercial enablement strategy aligned to PA Media's growth goals.
* Identify barriers to sales productivity and create scalable solutions that remove them.
* Partner with senior commercial leaders to continuously assess gaps, performance trends, and enablement needs.


Content & Toolkit Development

* Create and maintain impactful sales assets, from pitch decks to case studies and playbooks.
* Ensure materials are aligned across product, marketing, and sales and consistently adopted.
* Establish governance processes for content usage and updates.


Training & Development

* Build onboarding and development programmes for sales teams, in partnership with Learning & Development.
* Drive a culture of excellence by sharing best practice and success stories.
* Track training effectiveness and adapt programmes accordingly.


Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Management

* Implement structured processes such as account planning frameworks, sales playbooks, and reporting dashboards.
* Champion technology improvements to streamline operations and reporting.
* Collaborate effectively across functions - particularly sales, marketing, product, and editorial.


Executive Support & Influence

* Draft commercial updates and insights for board-level and executive communications.
* Represent the commercial function to senior leaders, ensuring its impact and value are visible.
* Build confidence and trust with internal stakeholders, securing buy-in for enablement initiatives.


About you

You will be a confident and experienced commercial professional who thrives on building functions, managing complexity, and enabling teams to succeed.

You'll bring:

* Significant experience in sales enablement, commercial operations, or strategy, ideally in a B2B or media environment.
* A proven ability to translate complexity into clarity, with strong communication skills (board-level experience is an advantage).
* Experience in building structured, repeatable systems that support commercial teams.
* A track record of working across multiple stakeholders and departments, including in matrix organisations.
* The ability to balance strategy with hands-on delivery.
* A proactive, curious, and resourceful mindset - identifying challenges early and solving them effectively.
