Starting Salary £25,000
Incremental salary increase based on demonstrated technical ability and length of service at 7 Steel UK .

During your Apprenticeship you will learn the theory as well as gain the hands-on experience you need to become a Production Team Leader.
Your role will be to learn and apply the end-to-end manufacturing process in our Rod and Bar Mill. No two days will be the same. One day you could be operating some of the largest production equipment in the industry, and the next collaborating with your team in investigation reports. As well as gaining hands on experience, you will be developing your knowledge and learning new skills with support from your mentors.
About you
Age 18+ (due to the requirement of shift work, in compliance with UK Regulations)
To join us, you will need:
GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)

About the Apprenticeship:
You will learn how to work on some of the largest pieces of kit and machinery in the industry.
Are exams not for you? Your Apprenticeship will be a work based NVQ, and assessed by an evidence based Portfolio, as well as monthly meetings with your assessor.
At the end of your 24-month Apprenticeship, you will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in performing manufacturing operations, and move into a Production Operator position. If you have shown passion and potential during you Apprenticeship, you may have the opportunity to complete an ILM ( Institute of Leadership and Management) Qualification.

Youll be joining a recycling company we recycle scrap metal into new steel products. Were the largest producer of reinforcing steel in the UK and one of the largest metal recyclers, too. Were passionate about the circular economy and working towards our decarbonisation pathway.
