About the Role
To work as part of a team delivering the Council’s Capital Programme of Flood Alleviation Schemes and fulfilling Local Authority duties under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the Council’s Capital Programme of Flood Alleviation Schemes.
* Fulfill Local Authority duties under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.
Qualifications
* Engineer - Professional qualification at IEng (or CIWEM equivalent) or equivalent experience and working towards CEng.
* Senior Engineer - Professional qualification at CEng or CIWEM equivalent.
Required Skills
* Starting Salary 1. Engineer - Professional qualification at IEng (or CIWEM equivalent) or equivalent experience and working towards CEng.
* Starting Salary 2. Senior Engineer – Professional qualification at CEng or CIWEM equivalent.
* Demonstrable experience in Flood Risk Assessment, Development Control and the development of Flood Alleviation Schemes
* Full UK driving licence.
Pay range and compensation package
* Starting salary 1. Engineer - £40,021 HC08 SCP34
* Starting salary 2. Senior Engineer - £49,759 HC10 SCP42
