Locum Consultant in Paediatric Dermatology 7PA (including on call)-maternity cover for 6 months.
Based in the Department of Paediatric Dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
We are currently inviting applications for a Locum Consultant in Paediatric Dermatology, based in the department of Paediatric Dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The candidate must have extensive experience in managing patients with complex paediatric dermatology presentations, particularly those with complex vascular anomalies.
The successful candidate will divide their time between outpatient clinics, inpatient and ambulatory reviews, and referral triage.
Additional responsibilities include participating in multidisciplinary meetings focused on the care of patients with complex vascular anomalies, including the use of new targeted medical treatments. The post holder will also provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior staff, while serving as a clinical resource for the multidisciplinary team. Based in central London, GOSH offers flexible working, help with childcare and travel, excellent training and development opportunities and assistance with finding somewhere to live. Main duties of the job
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Full registration with General Medical Council
- CCT/CCST in paediatrics of within 6 months at the time of interview or equivalent
training and experience
- At least 5 years experience in paediatrics dermatology
- Extensive experience in managing patients with complex vascular anomalies

* GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice (obtained by designated start date)
* MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent
* CCT/CCST in Paediatrics (or within 6 months at time of interview) or equivalent training and experience (eligible for Portfolio Pathway – previously known as CESR)
Desirable criteria
* Higher degree – PhD, MD or equivalent

* Extensive experience in complex vascular anomalies
* Experience of teaching students and multi disciplinary team
* Experience of leading in Clinical Audit processes
* Published research in peer reviewed journals in relevant area
* Awareness of the importance of Clinical Governance through experience of participating in quality or safety improvement projects
Desirable criteria
* Experience of recruiting patients to clinical research trials
* Experience of working in shared care clinics and clinical networks
* Experience of clinical leadership or management
