Sanctuary Personnel - Social Worker / Experienced Social Worker
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker/Experienced Social Worker to work full-time based in Bedford.
The salary for this position is up to £50,553 per annum.
Responsibilities:
1. Assess, plan, review, and support children, families, or carers with complex social care needs, adhering to legal frameworks, policies, and guidance.
2. Evaluate family functioning, providing support when relationship breakdowns threaten the wellbeing of children at risk of abuse or neglect.
3. Collaborate effectively with other professionals to help children, young people, and families improve their circumstances and participate in their community.
4. Conduct assessments or enquiries to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, or exploitation, including intervention when necessary.
5. Arrange appropriate alternative care, including permanent homes, in collaboration with children, young people, and their parents or carers.
6. Make recommendations regarding statutory intervention thresholds.
7. Promote autonomy and development among individuals with complex social needs, including those with disabilities or diminished capacity.
8. Maintain accurate case records and participate in planning, decision-making forums, and statutory meetings.
9. Act as Practice Educator or Assessor for social work students and newly qualified social workers as appropriate.
10. Work with communities, families, and individuals to maximize their strengths and resources.
11. Manage a caseload of varying complexity, providing guidance and expert advice to staff and students.
12. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to organizational growth.
13. Participate in project or process teams to ensure effective cross-functional output.
Requirements:
* CQSW, DipSW, BA in Social Work, or equivalent qualification.
* Management qualification at Level 4 or higher.
* Minimum of 1 year supervising professional staff.
* Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
* Ability to travel independently as required.
