Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join the NHS Fife Practice and Professional Development Team. The Lead Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) works closely with the Head of Department, NHS Education for Scotland, and partner Higher Education Institutions in a leadership role. The role involves providing effective managerial support, education, and development, working with managers, clinical staff, practice assessors, and supervisors to support student nurses and midwives across all practice learning environments within Fife.
The post-holder will be expected to lead the team, provide strategic direction, and inspire and support the PEF/CHEF team to maintain the Quality Standards for Practice Placements and the NMC Standards for supervision and assessment in practice.
Applicants should demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in teaching and facilitation. Strong organisational skills and leadership capabilities are essential to ensure delivery of local and national priorities.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is a condition of this post, and the successful applicant will need to join the scheme prior to appointment.
