We are currently recruiting for experienced Solar Roofers to join a team delivering solar photovoltaic (PV) installations across residential rooftops in the UK.
Role Summary
We are looking for safety-conscious, reliable Solar Roofers to install and maintain solar PV panels as part of a team. The role involves working at heights, ensuring quality workmanship, and adhering to all safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Install solar panels and mounting systems on various roof types, ensuring structural integrity and alignment
* Assess and prepare roofs for solar installations, including minor repairs or modifications
* Ensure installations are weatherproof and maintain the roof's integrity
* Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE when working at heights
* Collaborate with electricians and project managers for seamless system integration
* Conduct inspections and maintenance on solar panels, identifying and resolving issues
* Maintain accurate records of installations, roof assessments, and completed tasks
* Communicate professionally with customers, explaining the process and addressing concerns
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in roofing (tile, slate, flat roofs)
* Working at Heights certification
* Knowledge of solar PV mounting systems
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Full UK driving license
Desirable
* NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors) membership
* NVQ in relevant discipline
* Experience in solar panel installations
* CSCS card or equivalent
* SSSTS/SMSTS certification
* Manual Handling certification
* Scaffold awareness certificate
* Asbestos awareness
* First Aid certification
