Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our 0-19 universal children's team. You will be part of the multi-skilled team supporting both Health visitors and School Nurses. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and increase your knowledge and skill base. Working as part of a team, you will be expected to prioritise your workload and contribute to delivering quality healthcare and health promotion/advice to babies, children, young people, and families in Redbridge.
Main duties of the job
* Supporting Health Visitors and School Nurses in delivering high-quality care and support to families within Redbridge.
* Undertaking age-appropriate health reviews in clinics led by Community Nurses (CNN).
* Supporting and leading on CNN-led healthy child clinics.
* Assisting with New Entry Medicals and the National Child Measurement Programme in schools.
* Recognising safeguarding concerns, working with families to improve health outcomes, and escalating issues to managers when appropriate.
* Maintaining excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Working autonomously while remaining a collaborative team member.
* Planning and prioritising own work to fit within team allocations.
About Us
Starting with NELFT
NELFT places significant importance on proper onboarding and induction. All new starters join on the first Monday of each month and undergo a comprehensive induction lasting up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. There are opportunities to meet senior management and participate in engagement sessions. Inductions are held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This position is subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants may be exempt, depending on their current status.
High-Cost Area Supplement
This role attracts a 15% supplement of the basic salary (minimum £4,714, maximum £5,941), pro-rated for part-time staff.
