National Account Manager – Retail and Office Channels
Location: Home-based
Hours: 37.25 per week
Duration: 1-year contract (up to 2 years)
Pay Rate: £28.33ph - £31.48ph
A leading company in the consumer business sector is looking for a National Account Manager to manage key retail accounts, drive new business, and strengthen partnerships with retailers. This role offers the opportunity to work within a proactive, supportive, and dynamic team, contributing to the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage national accounts within the UK&I Retail & Office sales channel.
* Lead emerging Retail accounts
* Collaborate with buyers, merchandisers & customer supply chain to drive incremental opportunities, delivering profitable sales growth
* Network across the different internal functions, shopper marketing, demand planning, customer service and the sales functions to align functions enabling internal and external objectives to be met
* Drive growth into the Retail & Office key accounts to achieve long-term sustainable success.
* Identify needs, articulate strong value propositions and meet customer requirements to promote solutions to achieve mutual satisfaction.
Must-Have Skills:
* Business development experience
* Strategic selling expertise
* Sales and operations planning capabilities
* Proven experience managing top four grocery accounts
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated success in winning new business
Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Contract negotiation experience
* Revenue-generating strategy development
* Additional strategic selling experience
Ideal Candidate Background:
* Minimum of five years’ experience in national account management
* Preferably degree educated
* Strong retail account management background
