Hambling View, part of MIAG Independent Schools, is the perfect place for your next role as Leader of Curriculum and Assessment.
Hambling View is a brand-new Specialist SEND school in the beautiful City of Bath which is opening its doors in September 2024 to students who fit the MLD criteria. We are currently in the process of putting together all of the elements of a safe, nurturing school where children will thrive both personally and academically and are now ready to being preparing a rich curriculum that includes both academic, vocational and outdoor learning.
All of the students who attend Hambling View will have an EHCP and some may have had a negative experience of school or may have been out of school for a period of time and so may have some significant gaps. We aim to create an environment where they feel safe and thrive while they find their place in the world, connect with learning, build strong relationships, and overcome their challenges. We want our young people to enjoy every moment of school life and build on their knowledge and skills so that they are equipped for all aspects of life outside and beyond school.
It is important to us that students who come to Hambling View are provided with opportunities to develop their skills while participating in real world learning. We want to see them grow to be active participators with a sense of agency and so we will be working as a team to provide as many opportunities for real world learning as possible alongside the core curriculum offer.
