Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader to shape our evolving service and implement our research strategy. You will lead a high-performing team delivering clinical studies within our Clinical Research Facility and across the Health Board, collaborating with investigators to expand our research portfolio and champion clinical research. As an experienced research professional, you will oversee and manage the delivery team, ensuring high standards of research practice and clinical governance.

Main duties of the job
* Manage a research delivery team in recruiting and delivering care to patients in clinical trials.
* Responsible for the day-to-day management of the research team, ensuring appropriate staffing and skill mix.
* Coordinate research projects within the UHB, liaising with Principal Investigators and allocating projects based on workload and capacity.
* Provide professional leadership at a departmental level and support research staff.
* Ensure all research safeguards patient wellbeing and complies with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines.
* Support setup and delivery of complex trials, stepping in as needed.
* Oversee and support directorate-based research teams for smooth project operation.
