As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: 12.75 an hour Duration: Permanent Hours: 624 hours across the contract. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. You'll work more during our busier periods and less during quieter times. Shift times will typically be a combination of 9:00–15:30 or 10:00–14:00 during the winter, and 9:00–16:30 or 10:00–15:00 in the summer. The working pattern includes a mix of weekday and weekend shifts to support the needs of the site. You'll also be required to work during school holidays and at weekends as we are busier during these periods. What you'll be doing Our work revolves around creating great experiences—answering questions, assisting with requests, and making sure every visitor has the information they need to enjoy their day. You’ll help us keep track of who our visitors are so we can continue to improve the service and support we offer. The role includes a mix of practical and customer-facing responsibilities, such as opening and locking the Welcome Building, driving the access buggy to help visitors move around the site, and using the till to process admissions. You’ll also play an important part in promoting membership and supporting our fundraising efforts, helping visitors feel inspired to get more involved or to donate. A certain level of physical fitness is required, as the role involves being on your feet for much of the day, carrying out light physical tasks, and working in all weathers.
