We are seeking a reliable and hands-on IT Technician to join our team. This role involves hardware preparation, repair, dismantling, component removal, basic server and network support, and general technical assistance. The ideal candidate will be practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple technical and operational tasks.
This is a varied role that combines IT technical work with equipment handling and inventory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Hardware & Repairs
* Preparing desktop PCs, laptops, and servers for deployment or resale
* Dismantling machines and safely removing components (HDDs, SSDs, RAM, GPUs, etc.)
* Replacing screens, drives, and other faulty components
* Diagnosing hardware faults
* Wiping and securely removing hard drives from servers and PCs
* Refurbishing and testing equipment
* Server & Network Support (Basic Level)
* Basic understanding of servers and network switches
* Checking server configurations
* Performing basic configuration tasks (training can be provided if required)
* Removing and installing drives in servers
* Assisting with hardware upgrades and maintenance
* Inventory & Logistics
* Preparing machines for sale
* Listing items on eBay (including photos and descriptions)
* Keeping accurate inventory records
* Loading/unloading equipment from delivery vans
* Organising and storing IT equipment safely
Requirements
* Proven experience in IT hardware repair and maintenance (preferred)
* Good knowledge of computer components and server hardware
* Basic understanding of switches and server environments
* Ability to safely dismantle and rebuild IT equipmentComfortable performing physical tasks (lifting and moving equipment)
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Security Requirement
* Enhanced DBS check required
* Applicants must have no criminal history
* Employment is subject to satisfactory DBS clearance
Desirable Skills
* Experience working with refurbished IT equipment
* Knowledge of data wiping procedures
* Familiarity with Windows Server environments
Experience listing and selling IT equipment online (eBay or similar platforms)

Visa sponsorship under the UK Skilled Worker route may be available, subject to eligibility and Home Office requirements.
