About the job
The HVAC/R Technician will be required to work in a core role (3 on / 3 off rotation) located in the North Sea. Potential candidates will preferably have proven experience in a similar offshore role, but essentially will have hands-on experience of executing the routine maintenance, repair and fault finding on large commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including (but not limited to):
1. AHUs
2. Supply and extract fans
3. Motors
4. Galley provision rooms
5. Humidifiers
6. Pneumatic and electrically actuated fire/dampers
7. Electric heaters

In this role your main responsibilities will be:
* Routine maintenance
* Module pressure checks
* Fan performance checks
* Basic LEV testing
* Ductwork internal/external inspections
* Interpreting PID, DID, DFD, GA drawings
* Electrical wiring schematics
* Holding Performing Authority (PA) and preferably also Electrical Isolation Authority
Who we are looking for
Knowledge of F-Gas Regulations and experience of F-Gas management with accompanying 2079 (Cat 1) certification is essential. As is an understanding of COSHH and HSE requirements with regard to LEV system testing and maintenance, including the ability to maintain accurate records of work conducted. Those with a demonstrable knowledge of applicable industry standards (e.g. ISO 15138, etc.) are highly desirable. The candidates must have:
* Strong communication skills
* Intermediate IT skills (Word, Excel) and be familiar in the use of ISSOW and CMMS systems
* Highly motivated and proactive
* Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
Qualifications required: S/NVQ L3 (Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning). Applicants with S/NVQ L2 (with the relevant experience) will also be considered.
Certification required: F-Gas 2079, CompEx (EX01-04) (preferable), Basic LEV testing, WAH (Unit 2), Small Bore Tubing (SBT01), Emergency First Aid.
