About theRole
We are seeking anexperienced and dynamic Head of Engineering / Engineering Managerto oversee the engineering function at our Meal Solutions site,Cavaghan & Grey. This is a critical leadership role where youwill be responsible for driving engineering excellence across ourfacilities, managing capital projects, and leading a diverseengineering team.
KeyResponsibilities
* Engineering Leadership: Provide strong leadership to theengineering function, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality,reliable engineering support across all operations.
* Project Management: Oversee engineering projects frominception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time,within scope, and within budget.
* CapitalExpenditure: Manage a multi-million CAPEX budget annually,prioritising and overseeing the allocation of resources for keyengineering projects.
* Preventative Maintenance(PPM): Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules tooptimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and ensurecompliance with industry standards.
* TeamManagement: Lead a team of 5-6 direct reports and 46 indirectreports, overseeing talent development and ensuring the rightskillsets are in place for operational success.

Key Skills
* Degree-qualified in an engineeringdiscipline, or equivalent experience, including service leaverswithin an engineering field.
* Minimum 2 yearsof experience in an engineering management role, preferably withinfood manufacturing or a similarly regulated industry.
* Demonstrable experience in leading and motivatinglarge-scale engineering teams.
* Strongtechnical expertise, with a solid understanding of plantoperations, automation, and highly regulatedenvironments.
* Proven ability to lead byexample, with strong leadership and people management skills.Empathy and effective communication skills are crucial.
* Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues quickly,develop solutions, and implement them efficiently.
* Industry Background: Experience in food manufacturing,food safety, plant engineering, automation, or pharmaceuticalmanufacturing.
* BRC (British Retail Consortium)Certified or similar food safety standards.
