Overview
We are seeking an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a highly supportive and established transport team based in Doncaster. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in transport planning who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing daily driver schedules within a pallet network operation. The successful candidate will benefit from clear progression opportunities and a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and coordinate daily routes for 12 drivers, ensuring timely deliveries and collections.
* Maintain efficient operations within a pallet network environment, optimising resource use and route efficiency.
* Monitor driver progress, addressing any issues to maintain service standards.
* Work closely with the wider transport team to support smooth day-to-day operations.
* Ensure compliance with transport regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
* Previous experience in Transport Planning is essential.
* Knowledge or experience of working within a pallet network (desirable).
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure.
* Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
* Competent IT skills, ideally with transport or planning systems.
