About The Role
Main Purpose/Objectives:
As the FacilitiesManager at Nicholson's Shopping Centre, you will be responsible formaintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, tenants, and thepublic. You will guard against loss or damage to property, act as thefirst line of reaction in the event of an emergency, and assist theNicholson's Shopping Centre Management team in providing a qualityservice to tenants, staff, contractors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
* SecurityManagement: Oversee the standards of work carried out by securitystaff, ensuring alignment with client expectations. Act as deputy inthe absence of the Savills Centre Management team and assist inmanaging the shopping centre within agreed limitations.
* Business Continuity: Ensure Business Continuity Plansare up to date, including tenant head office and area manageremergency contact information.
* Contractor Management: Manage security and safety-related contractors, such as fire andsprinkler systems, intruder alarm systems, and CCTV systems, ensuringservice visits take place as per contractual expectations. Conductweekly testing of the Centre Sprinkler system and record results.
* Event Management: Assist with event managementplanning and delivery, and produce condition reports for new tenantsupon entering and departing from a Centre unit.
* Health &Safety: Attend Centre Management and OCS/Client meetings, recordminutes, and contribute to the Site Health & Safety committee.Facilitate the inspection regime required to complete the Savillsdaily site safety check sheet. Ensure service deck parking rules andguidance are up to date and adhered to.
* Training andDevelopment: Manage the development of the service, including thetraining and development of staff. Provide ongoing mentoring andperformance coaching to the site security team. Ensure staff have theappropriate level of fire and law training.
* Compliance:Manage the CCTV and Data library in accordance with the DataProtection Act 1998. Ensure assignment instructions are kept up todate and relevant. Assist in managing all contractors by monitoringtheir compliance with client requirements. Utilize online reportingand recording systems, including bespoke software such as PartnerPatrol Management System, Timegate, MyView, and Data Station.
* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records, includingassignment logs, incident reports, accident reports, lost property,faults and damages, key controls, out-of-hours tenant trading, Savillsdaily site safety checklists, fire alarm testing logs, weeklysprinkler testing logs, tenant contact lists, training records, andsickness and holiday records.
* Annual Tasks: Ensurebusiness continuity, update SOPs and Assignment Instructions, conductHealth & Safety Risk Assessments, and perform staff appraisals.
Requirements:
* Provenexperience in facilities management or a similar role.
* Strongleadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication andinterpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in using security andfacilities management technology.
* Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizationaland time management skills.
* Knowledge of Health & Safetyregulations and compliance.
