Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role Knowledge and experience in PC/laptop physical hardware set-up and maintenance Knowledge and experience in desktop software configuration, including Windows 10/11, and working with OUs and Group Policies Knowledge and experience in MS Office applications Knowledge and experience of working with an IT ServiceDesk system Knowledge of user onboarding/offboarding in a MS AD environment Understanding of basic network technologies such as LAN, switch, wi-fi Experience in troubleshooting user issues, such as log on, printing, application (MS Office apps) Working knowledge of IT security Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive and efficient IT support to end users Carry out all aspects of IT administration from desktop support to basic maintenance of servers and network devices/services Deliver effective support in a fast-paced environment, acting as the first point of contact for IT challenges Ensure the IT ServiceDesk system is kept up to date and all tickets are logged and updated Identify operational problems and collaborate with others to find resolutions, documenting outcomes Proactively monitor systems and raise alerts to investigate potential issues Collaborate with the Director of Informatics/Head of Infrastructure to maintain company compliance with various accreditations/certifications including ISO 27001 Work alongside third-party IT support providers to manage higher-tier issues and projects Technologies: Hardware Support LAN Network Security Windows More: We are an established recruitment company seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a client in the Milton Keynes area.
