Clerical Officer / Receptionist - Ophthalmology
The Clerical Officer / Receptionist provides a comprehensive administrative service to the medical and nursing teams within the ward environment.

What We'll Need You to Bring
* Good basic education.
* Minimum of two years administrative experience (desirable).
* Basic understanding of office procedures.
* Proficient in use of Software systems.
* Good organisational and communication skills.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
* Standard Grade/NVQ II or equivalent.
* Knowledge of Trakcare Patient Management System.
* The ability to effectively communicate with and provide support to all medical staff within the department and the wider team.
* Enthusiasm, motivation and a positive outlook.
* Organisation and prioritisation skills.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and be responsive to change within challenging timescales.
Contract Type
Fixed Term or Secondment for 6 Months.
Full time – 37 hours.
Please note this is a fixed term post for 6 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location
This role will be based in Ophthalmology within University Hospital Hairmyres. Applicants shortlisted for interview may be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
