Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Lecturer – Carpentry and Multi Trades to join our Slough & Langley College team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Lecturer – Carpentry and Multi Trades
The Lecturer – Carpentry and Multi Trades at Slough & Langley College is tasked with delivering high-quality teaching and assessment to maximize student potential. Key responsibilities include preparing and delivering lesson plans, setting student targets, providing academic support, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, the lecturer acts as a tutor, supporting students both academically and pastorally, and contributing to curriculum development and programme leadership.
Essential criteria for the role include a Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to obtain it, a minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant trade, and proficiency in embedding English and maths into the curriculum. Candidates should have strong IT and administrative skills, demonstrated ability to motivate students, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare. Interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for the subject area are also crucial, with assessment through applications, interviews, and testing.
This role pays on the academic teachers pay scale T1 – T11 (£31,133 - £44,841 FTE)
