Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring the efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
* Manage medication inventory, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring expiry dates.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding medications.
* Support medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Assist in processing prescriptions and managing patient records with confidentiality.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of medication administration processes and pharmacy operations.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions and patient information.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
