I am exclusively working with a not-for-profit organisation in central Birmingham who urgently require a Part-Time Finance Officer for an immediate start. The role requires 3 days a week in the office (22.5 hours per week), and is paying £30-35k FTE.
What you'll do:
1. Process and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with established procedures and deadlines, ensuring all transactions are recorded efficiently and correctly.
2. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts as well as other internal reports required by senior finance staff, contributing to informed decision-making across the organisation.
3. Assist with month-end and year-end processes such as reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and ensure all relevant documentation is up-to-date and compliant.
4. Monitor budgets by accurately coding income and expenditure items, proactively identifying any anomalies or discrepancies for further investigation.
5. Handle staff expense claims, purchase orders, and payments while ensuring strict adherence to financial policies and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
6. Oversee cash flow monitoring and banking transactions to support the ongoing financial health of the organisation.
