BUCS Support Officer - East London Job Type: Fixed Term Contract for 36 months - 28 hours per week Location: Docklands Campus – hybrid working We are seeking an organised and proactive individual with experience of university sport and BUCS to join East London Sport. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of student sport, ensuring the smooth coordination of fixtures, competitions, and club activity across the university. We support a wide range of sports clubs, competitive opportunities, and recreational programmes, helping students stay active, build communities, and represent the university. About the Job As our BUCS Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Sports Development team. You will coordinate fixtures, manage logistics, and act as a key point of contact for student sports clubs and partner organisations. Key responsibilities include: Coordinate BUCS and non-BUCS fixtures, including transport, accommodation, and facility bookings Act as the first point of contact for student and stakeholder queries relating to sport and competitions Support sports clubs with administration, registrations, and compliance requirements Organise weekly transport for away fixtures and support matchday operations Manage event entries, including logistics for regional and national competitions Support the delivery of key events such as sports awards and competitions Process payments for match officials and student expenses Maintain accurate records and support reporting on participation and club activity Work collaboratively across teams to enhance the delivery of sport and student experience This role will require flexibility, including some evening and weekend work, particularly during the BUCS season. About You We are looking for someone with experience of working in a university or student sport environment, with knowledge of BUCS. You should have: Experience in an administrative or coordination role Experience of working with university students Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders Confidence working independently and as part of a team Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Benefits Package At UEL, we believe that a great role is about more than just a salary.
