This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong painting, decorating and general building fabric experience who is ready to take the next step into a supervisory role, leading a small team and helping deliver high-quality maintenance services across a busy university environment. As Painter and Decorator Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting, decorating and building fabric repairs across the estate while supervising a small team and supporting the wider maintenance operation. What you'll do: Supervising a small team of painters and decorators across the university estate Carrying out painting, decorating and general building fabric repairs Completing responsive maintenance and planned works Supporting compliance and health & safety across all work activities Working with subcontractors and specialist contractors when required Ensuring all work areas are left clean, safe and tidy Completing job sheets and updating works via mobile devices/CAFM systems Assisting with materials ordering and stock control Supporting room inspections, student accommodation works and event preparation Delivering excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors What you bring: Strong painting and decorating experience Experience in general building fabric maintenance (doors, plaster repairs, basic plumbing repairs etc.) Experience working in maintenance, caretaking or facilities environment Experience supervising or leading a small team Good organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and use initiative Good communication and customer service skills IT literate and able to use mobile devices or CAFM systems Health & Safety awareness and safe working practices Desirable: IOSH Working Safely Legionella Awareness (L8) Experience working in a university, residential or multi-site environment Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude What we offer: Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
