Job Summary

BDO UK is seeking an M&A Assistant Director/Senior Manager based in Bristol. The role will lead on the delivery of M&A transactions, manage day‑to‑day project delivery and build relationships with external and internal stakeholders across the region.


Responsibilities

* Lead on the preparation of technical outputs and the management of technical work streams, including completion mechanisms, funds flows, waterfall structures and legal documentation.
* Pro‑actively project manage sell‑side, buy‑side and strategic advisory transactions from start to finish, working autonomously with junior support and collaborating with Directors/Partners where necessary.
* Build and sustain external and internal relationships in your sector/region, proactively identifying and communicating opportunities to enhance service delivery and cross‑sell additional services.
* Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to provide value‑led advice across strategy, operations, and transactional projects.


Qualifications

* A demonstrable strong understanding of, and experience in, corporate finance for both buy‑side and sell‑side work, involving private and public companies, owner‑managed businesses and private equity houses.
* Experience leading projects to a successful close, having worked with private companies, owner‑managed businesses and private equity houses.
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or relevant work experience.
* Strong project management skills, able to handle several projects simultaneously and to work under pressure.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team‑management skills.
* Ability to manage all technical aspects of a deal.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen.
