Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and analytically minded Post‑Graduate Renewable Energy Analyst to join our growing team in Cheshunt. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, who is eager to build a career in the rapidly expanding solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) sector.

You will play a key role in modelling the financial and technical performance of renewable energy systems, using specialist software such as Gridcog to evaluate project viability, optimise system design, and support investment decisions. As the team expands, there will be significant opportunities for professional development and progression.

Key Responsibilities

* Build, run, and interpret financial and performance models for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) using Gridcog and other analytical tools.
* Analyse system performance, revenue streams, grid interactions, and commercial scenarios to support project development and investment cases.
* Prepare clear, data‑driven reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, clients, and senior leadership.
* Support feasibility studies, site assessments, and early‑stage project scoping.
* Maintain and update internal datasets, assumptions, and modelling frameworks.
* Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and project delivery teams to ensure modelling outputs align with technical and commercial requirements.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of modelling processes, tools, and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

* Degree (BSc/MSc) in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong analytical mindset with excellent numerical skills.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data manipulation, and scenario modelling.
* Ability to learn and operate specialist software (experience with Gridcog is advantageous but training will be provided).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
* Detail‑oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
* A genuine interest in renewable energy, decarbonisation, and energy system innovation.

Desirable Experience (Not Essential)

* Familiarity with Solar PV or BESS technologies, grid‑connected systems, or energy markets.
* Experience with modelling tools, GIS platforms, or energy simulation software.
* Understanding of UK energy policy, grid constraints, or commercial energy frameworks.

What We Offer

* A structured development pathway with opportunities for rapid progression as the team grows.
* Hands‑on training in Gridcog and other industry‑leading tools.
* Exposure to real‑world renewable energy projects from concept to delivery.
* A collaborative, supportive environment where your ideas and contributions will shape future processes.
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
