Role Overview As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential role in supporting our kitchen operations. Your efforts will ensure that our chefs and kitchen staff can focus on preparing delicious meals for our guests in a clean, safe, and well-organised environment. Key Responsibilities Washing and cleaning kitchen utensils, pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery efficiently and thoroughly. Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, walls, and work surfaces. Assisting with the receipt and storage of deliveries, ensuring all items are stored correctly. Disposing of kitchen waste in line with health and safety and environmental guidelines. Supporting kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and hygiene standards. Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards to the management promptly. Working collaboratively with the kitchen and wider hotel team to maintain smooth operations. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar catering role is desirable but not essential. Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry out manual tasks. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
