Are you a passionate Psychology Teacher with experience in Criminology looking for a temporary role in the Plymouth area? Teaching Personnel is working closely with secondary schools across the city and is seeking a dynamic teacher to cover a maternity leave from February.
This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), or experienced social sciences specialists who enjoy inspiring students and delivering engaging lessons in Psychology and Criminology.
About the Role
As a Psychology & Criminology Teacher, you will:
* Teach Psychology and Criminology across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with the Humanities and Social Sciences departments
About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (ECTs welcome)
* Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and Criminology
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic
* Experience teaching in UK secondary schools is desirable but not essential
