The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turning Setter Operator to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to exact specifications.
We are open to candidates across the UK , with relocation considered for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate CNC turning machines (including Nakamura and Citizen sliding head lathes )
Manufacture components in line with production plans and customer deadlines
Ensure all parts meet engineering drawings and tight tolerances
Adjust tooling, offsets, and make program edits to optimise performance
Conduct first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools
Complete route cards and maintain accurate quality documentation
Work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficient production flow
Maintain machine upkeep and a clean, safe working environment
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a CNC Turning Setter / Operator
Experience with sliding head lathes (Citizen, Nakamura preferred)
Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
Strong inspection skills using tools such as micrometers, verniers, and calipers
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
