Are you looking for a new opportunity that combines both transactional finance management with office administration support? Our client is seeking a proactive and personable Finance & Office Manager to join their Cambridge office onsite.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations while also supporting office and HR duties. You will be working closely with external accountants, to ensure smooth financial processes and compliance, while playing a key role in keeping the office running efficiently and supporting the wider team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being an approachable and professional presence within a business, with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities as a Finance & Office Manager include:

Transactional Finance

* Manage both accounts payable and receivable functions
* Process invoices and staff expenses/reimbursements
* Chase overdue payments and oversee credit control
* Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions, maintaining healthy cashflow
* Collaborate with external accountants and auditors
* Ensure accurate financial records are kept at all times

Office Administration

* Act as first point of contact for incoming calls and office queries
* Plan and coordinate company events
* Assist with onboarding of new starters and leavers and other HR administration duties
* Contribute to wellbeing initiatives fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience in transactional finance and office administration
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and confidently manage priorities
* Comfortable with finance software and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
