Join Our Dynamic Team as an HGV Class 2 Driver in Fareham! Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver seeking a new opportunity? At Aligra, we are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading logistics company specialising in multi-drop deliveries. This role offers a fast-paced and exciting work environment in Fareham.
Responsibilities
* Daily Vehicle Inspections: Conduct comprehensive daily checks to ensure your HGV Class 2 vehicle is in impeccable and roadworthy condition. Promptly report any defects or issues to your supervisor to facilitate timely repairs and maintenance.
* Route Planning: Efficiently plan routes for delivering pallets to stores and mini markets, ensuring maximum productivity while adhering to schedules. Utilise GPS technology and other navigation tools to optimise route efficiency.
* Multi-Drop Deliveries: Execute an average of 15 drops per shift, ensuring goods are delivered promptly and in perfect condition. Ensure goods are securely fastened and protected during transportation.
* Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods at delivery points, ensuring items are palletised and protected during transit. Use equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Check-In/Check-Out System: Use the company’s check-in/check-out system for effective tracking and documentation of deliveries and returns. Ensure all scanned items are accurate to avoid discrepancies.
* Documentation: Complete all required paperwork, including collection, signing, and filing of necessary documentation upon delivery or collection. Maintain records of delivery notes, invoices, and customer feedback.
* Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with store personnel, addressing queries or issues professionally and promptly. Build positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including safe handling and transportation of goods. Immediately report incidents, accidents, or near-misses to maintain a safe working environment.
* Additional Details: Monday to Friday shifts with 06:00 start times.

Requirements
* Valid UK Driving Licence
* Valid CPC and UK Digi Tacho cards
