GSL Education are looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEND KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in Nottingham from September 2025. As a SEND Key Stage 1 TA, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting children in Key Stage 1, helping them develop confidence, skills, and a love of learning. As a SEND KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Supporting individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning objectives. Helping to create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment. Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development. To be a SEND KS1 Teaching Assistant, you should: Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within KS1. Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
