Join to apply for the General Practitioner - Out of hours role at Practice Plus Group.
Due to the upcoming recategorisation of HMP Brixton to a Category B Remand Prison, this role is based near Brixton with good access via public transport. The site will involve working within receptions, with the new intake of patients on Saturdays. A nurse-led service operates during receptions, and GPs will be involved in same-day medications, leavers medication, acute health needs and substance misuse detox and prescribing.
Hours: Saturday 8am-4pm. This position is part-time (8 hours per week). Salary: up to £129,500 full-time equivalent per annum, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing
* Deliver first-class healthcare to a diverse group of patients; develop knowledge in areas beyond a typical practice or A&E environment.
* Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients’ requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
* Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, with active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required
* MBChB or MBBS; inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
* Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
* Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
* RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
