We're looking for someone to operate our Sage Accounting system. We are a small family business, and this job was previously handled part-time, 3 days a week, so we are seeking similar availability.
Knowledge of Sage software would be an advantage, as all accounts are managed through it.
Our business involves designing, selling, and installing kitchens for new-build developers and retail clients, with VAT considerations including zero-rated, standard-rated, and reduced rates for refurbishment projects.
We purchase furniture from Germany and the UK, which involves additional accounting requirements, though these are fairly straightforward.
Responsibilities include managing subcontractor returns for tax deductions, submitting quarterly VAT returns, and performing monthly and year-end reconciliations and submissions to our auditors.
The position is based at our warehouse in Chertsey, not at our showrooms in Weybridge.
We are a small, friendly team in a busy company, most staff having been with us for over 10 years. The vacancy arose following the recent passing of our previous accounts manager, who was with us for 11 years.
