Northwood is currently accepting applications for an Food Service Worker (FSW) for our Bedford location.
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 academic or equivalent
Two to three years food service work experience in a long-term health care, hospital, hotel, or restaurant facility.
Completion of any of the following: Basic Food Safety Certification, Food Service Workers Course or equivalent, Basic Food Preparation or equivalent
Experience working with the elderly within a decentralized meal service environment that provided the basic principles and concepts used in all functional areas of a food service operation.
Knowledge of food safety, safe food handling and cleaning and sanitizing practices.
Must be able to prioritize work, follow oral/written instructions and maintain established resident / client service standards.
Must be of sound physical well-being (able to lift 50 lbs at a time), in good general health and able to endure the day-to-day pressures of the position.
Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with the Northwood corporate standard.
Responsibilities: As per the Food Services Worker Job Description
Hours of Work: 80 hours bi-weekly (8 hours shifts) - Days/Evenings 11am-7pm
