About the Role
As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will work as part of the Individual Placement and Support Employment Specialist team. You will support clients with CV writing, interview techniques, and liaise with potential employers to place people into meaningful employment across West Cornwall. You will cover the area from our Penzance office, requiring a UK driving licence and access to a car.
The role offers a starting salary of £27,500, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, up to £32,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
* Support clients with CV writing and interview techniques.
* Engage and negotiate with potential employers on behalf of clients.
* Deliver multi‑agency partnership working to increase placement rates.
* Provide ongoing support to clients in the workforce, adapting to their needs.
* Maintain accurate case records and reporting.
* Collaborate with partner agencies, employers, family/carers and other stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience of recruitment processes and employability skills development.
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs to gain or maintain employment.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
* Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, including employers, partner agencies, clients and family/carers.
* Experience of multi‑agency partnership working.
* Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addiction and/or employability and employment services.
* Understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market.
* Strong IT skills, ideally in Google Workspace.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Flexibility to work from different locations and in unsocial hours as required.
Qualifications
Relevant work experience and the above skills are preferred. No formal qualifications required.
