Are you an experienced Estimator looking to play a pivotal role in winning major civil engineering and infrastructure projects?
We’re seeking a commercially focused Estimator to join our Work Winning team in Swindon. You’ll be instrumental in producing high-quality, competitive pricing for tenders and supporting early contractor involvement (ECI) projects, working closely with Bid Managers and technical specialists across the business.
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
* Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for tenders and budget pricing
* Supporting clients during early contractor involvement stages
* Collaborating with Bid Managers to ensure competitive and compliant pricing
* Advising on the most cost-effective design and construction solutions
* Pricing labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, preliminaries and temporary works
* Working with Procurement to assess and select supplier and subcontractor quotations
* Contributing to risk and opportunity reviews
* Presenting pricing build-ups at pre-settlement and settlement meetings
* Supporting handover for successful bids and learning from post-tender feedback
🧠What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as an Estimator within civil engineering or construction
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and procurement legislation
* Commercial awareness of different forms of contract
* Confident user of estimating software and pricing tools
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams
* A proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach
