We’re Hiring: Estimator Location: Swindon Salary: £70,000 £5,750 car allowance Reporting to: Head of Bid Management Are you an experienced Estimator looking to play a pivotal role in winning major civil engineering and infrastructure projects? We’re seeking a commercially focused Estimator to join our Work Winning team in Swindon. You’ll be instrumental in producing high-quality, competitive pricing for tenders and supporting early contractor involvement (ECI) projects, working closely with Bid Managers and technical specialists across the business. What You’ll Be Doing Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for tenders and budget pricing Supporting clients during early contractor involvement stages Collaborating with Bid Managers to ensure competitive and compliant pricing Advising on the most cost-effective design and construction solutions Pricing labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, preliminaries and temporary works Working with Procurement to assess and select supplier and subcontractor quotations Contributing to risk and opportunity reviews Presenting pricing build-ups at pre-settlement and settlement meetings Supporting handover for successful bids and learning from post-tender feedback What We’re Looking For Proven experience as an Estimator within civil engineering or construction Strong understanding of construction methodologies and procurement legislation Commercial awareness of different forms of contract Confident user of estimating software and pricing tools Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams A proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach Our Values You’ll join a business that values: Integrity – pride in quality and doing the right thing Accountability – ownership, responsibility and high standards Innovation – continuous improvement and smarter ways of working Delivery – a “can-do” attitude and commitment to results Sustainability – safe, responsible and future-focused working Why Join Us?
