Higher Education Development Manager ROLE DESCRIPTION Newcastle College University Centre (NCUC) is one of the largest providers of higher education in the further education sector. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Education Development Manager to join our central Higher Education team. In this key role you will: Lead the development and approval of higher education programmes aligned with strategic priorities and industry needs. Oversee curriculum design and ensure compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements. Manage key aspects of the HE activity cycle. Support programme teams to maintain high standards in teaching, learning and assessment. Support programme teams to ensure every student reaches their full potential. Support programme teams to drive student success and maximise achievement across all programmes. Deliver a range of training and support to higher education teaching teams. Manage the process for recruitment of external examiners and programme approval academics. Manage the process for student and staff ethical approval. Work collaboratively with academic staff, students and external partners to enhance the HE student experience. Contribute to the implementation of the HE strategy and continuous improvement across NCUC. About You: You will have experience teaching or managing higher education within a further education context, with a strong understanding of HE quality assurance, curriculum design and regulatory frameworks. You will be an excellent communicator and leader capable of supporting and developing staff to achieve high standards.
