SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Selby
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: February 2026 or sooner
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming school in Selby.

Staff work collaboratively to deliver tailored support, ensuring each pupil receives the guidance they need both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Assist teachers in delivering adapted and engaging lessons
* Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement support plans
Requirements
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable
* Patient, empathetic and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
