We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales performance. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that our store meets its sales targets while providing an outstanding shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive sales to meet or exceed store sales targets.
* Develop and implement strategies to increase customer traffic, maximise sales, and improve profitability.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyse sales performance.
* Identify opportunities for growth, address underperformance, and adjust sales tactics as needed.
* Ensure that customers receive excellent service by providing a welcoming environment and maintaining high service standards.
* Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and effective manner.
* Implement initiatives to improve customer loyalty and retention.
* Train store staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team culture.
* Schedule staff to ensure appropriate coverage and optimise productivity.
* Conduct regular performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and provide constructive feedback.
* Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to support team growth.
* Manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability while minimising wastage and shrinkage.
* Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to maintain an organised and up-to-date inventory.
* Conduct regular stock audits and liaise with category managers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
* Ensure that store operations comply with company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing store layout.
* Monitor and manage expenses within budgetary constraints, identifying cost‑saving opportunities where possible.
* Implement in‑store promotions and marketing initiatives in coordination with the marketing team.
* Engage with the local community to increase brand awareness and foster customer loyalty.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar retail management role.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Solid understanding of retail management practices, including sales and inventory management.
* Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
