We're looking for a Configuration Management Analyst to complement our team based from our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role benefits from our 4xFlex working pattern, offering a 4 day working week Monday - Thursday and hybrid working with typically 2 days a week onsite. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying Configuration Management principles and practices, working closely with experienced engineers to maintain the integrity of our complex engineering projects. This role will also provide an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to progress into more senior Configuration Management / Digital Engineering roles, contributing to the implementation of our Digital Engineering strategy. Work place deployments could consist of (but not limited to) the following Business Areas: Configuration Management Digital Engineering Typical duties could include: Assisting with the application of Configuration Management principles, processes, and tools. Key responsibilities include analysing proposed product design changes for their impact on the overall product and system, supporting the establishment and maintenance of configuration baselines, contributing to change control processes. The role involves preparing reports detailing the effect of changes on the overall product, reviewing and analysing released engineering change data, and ensuring compliance with configuration management policies, collaborating with various teams working closely with experienced engineers. In addition to these traditional duties, the role is expected to evolve to incorporate digital transformation, development of digital twins, digital engineering, and model-based systems engineering. This implies that the candidate will likely be involved in: Digital Transformation: Contributing to the digital transformation initiatives of the company, which may involve modernising processes, adopting new technologies, or improving digital capabilities. Development of Digital Twin: Assisting in the creation and maintenance of digital replicas of physical products or systems, which can be used for simulation, testing, and optimisation. Digital Engineering: Utilising digital tools and methodologies to design, analyse, and manage engineering projects, potentially including the use of virtual reality, augmented reality, or other advanced digital technologies.
