SEN Tutor: Change Lives Through Learning
We are looking for talented tutors to help children with special educational needs or that are subject to a care order. HRP Education needs people who care about making learning work for every child, especially those who find school challenging.
Why work with us?
You'll have the freedom to create your own teaching plans that actually work, while getting paid what you're worth at £30.00-£32.50 per hour. Choose hours that fit your life on weekdays only, join a team that backs you up, and see real progress in your students.
What you'll be doing
You'll manage your own caseload of students, arranging sessions directly with families and schools. Teaching takes place in different locations including homes, schools or neutral venues, and you'll set your own schedule that works for you and your students. The role involves teaching in a way that clicks with each child, building trust and confidence in young people aged 3-18, and keeping track of how they're doing while changing your approach when needed. You'll work with parents and teachers to get the best results and keep good notes on progress.
What we need from you
You must have at least 2 years teaching or tutoring experience, an Enhanced DBS on the update service, your own car and driving licence, and a higher education qualification. We're looking for good people skills, the ability to adapt your teaching style, strong commitment to child safety, and a positive, can-do attitude. It's great if you also have QTS, experience with SEN students, or higher level qualifications.
The basics
Work full-time, part-time or freelance with face-to-face tutoring in various locations around the Coventry area. You'll manage your own diary and travel arrangements with flexible hours Monday-Friday (minimum 10 hours). We offer a casual dress code, bonus scheme, and company pension.
