Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of disenfranchised young people? We're a dynamic youth services organisation and we're looking for a motivated, skilled and dedicated youth professional to join our team.
*About the Role*
* Position: Youth Worker (sessional)
* Type: One-year contract (option for extension)
* Pay: £ per hour
* Hours: 7.5 - across weekday evenings and rare weekends - *flexibility required*
In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting our mission by assisting our organisation's engagement with service users through the delivery of youth sessions. You must understand the importance of best youth work practice, implement positive youth engagement, and help grow the impact of our work.
*What You'll Do*
· Prepare, deliver & evaluate youth sessions
· Positively engage & support young people (through creativity and the arts, if applicable)
· Help raise the awareness of our sessions
· Support the development of our services and offers
· Participate in CPD and training
*Job Requirements*
· Excellent understanding of youth engagement
· Good communication skills
· Ability to lead
· Connection to, and understanding of, Bristol's global majority communities (preferably including beyond the inner-city)
· Lived experience
· Good self-management skills
· Prior experience working in Bristol's youth and community sector
· Thrives when given responsibility and ownership
· Arts / media / creative skills (not essential)
